Water in all rivers rising in Netrakona

NETRAKONA, July 4 (BSS): Water in all rivers of the district including Sumeswari, Kangso Dhono and Mogra has been rising continuously following torrential rainfall for last five days.
Water Development Board (WDB) office said, water in the Sumeswari river has recorded a sharp rise at Berishiri point of Durgapur Upazila, the Kangso river increased at Jaria point under Purbodhola Upazila and at Kalmakanda Upazila town point.
The Dhano river increased at Gaglajur point under Mohanganj Upazila and the Mogra river has recorded a sharp rise at Netrakona town point during the last 24 hours ending 6.00 pm Thursday.
If a heavy downpour occurs, most of the rivers are likely to cross danger levels at different points causing floods in different low-lying areas of the district.
