Water scarcity in Dhaka

Water scarcity in the city has gone beyond tolerance. Quite often the media especially TV channels make reports highlighting the sufferings of the city dwellers about the scarcity of WASA water supply. We, the residents of Rashed Khan Menon Sarak
have been facing this problem tremendously.
The WASA water supply is so meagre that people of all ages run day and night to collect water from WASA pump located at the earlier passport office compound, New Eskaton. It is learnt that the finance minister is going to present a 2.5 trillion taka budget before the Jatiya Sangsad soon.
We hope there will be adequate fund in the budget to contain the water scarcity problem of the citizens.
