WB delegation meets NU VC

A three-member World Bank (WB) delegation called on National University (NU) Vice-Chancellor Wakil Ahmed at his resident office in the city Sunday.
World Bank's Education Specialist Subarta S Dhar, Yoko Nagashima and Public Policy Specialist Norman La Roeque were the members of the team.
National University Pro-Vice Chancellor Syed Rashidul Hasan and Dean Sher Mohammad were also present on the occasion.
The World Bank team discussed with the vice chancellor (VC) the proposed area of the World Bank support for higher education, based on the recomendations made for Higher Education in Bangladesh: 2006-2026.
The VC said the National University campus is being developed as a centre for excellence.
