The first match of the 2019 World Cup recorded the highest ever reach on Star network.
The match between hosts England and South Africa recorded a reach of 114 million, the highest ever for a cricket World Cup game, a statement said.
The average reach for a World Cup game has been 101 million and the match between England and South Africa match had a reach that was double of any opening match of a recent ICC event, according to a news portal.
England went on to beat South Africa in that match by 104 runs to make a perfect start to their World Cup campaign.
