Rain/thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty/squally wind is likely to occur at a few places over Rajshahi, Rangpur, Chattogram, Barishal and Sylhet divisions and at one or two places over Mymensingh, Dhaka, Khulna divisions in the next 24 hours until 6:00 pm today (Thursday).
Mild heat wave is sweeping over Rajshahi, Khulna and Sylhet divisions and the regions of Dhaka, Tangail, Faridpur, Noakhali, Feni, Dinajpur and Nilphamari and it may abate seome places, Met Office said.
Day temperature may fall slightly and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
The country's highest temperature of 37.8 degrees Celsius was recorded on Wednesday in Jashore and the lowest of 24.0 degrees in Dinajpur.
