Rain/thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty/squally wind is likely to occur at many places over Dhaka, Khulna Chattogram and Barishal divisions in the next 24 hours from 06:00 am today (Friday), according to the Met Office.
It may also occur at a few places over over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls.
Severe heat wave may sweep over the districts of Rajshahi, Pabna, Noagaon, Dinajpur, Jashore and Chuadanga.
Day temperature may fall by (1-3)°C and night temperature may fall slightly over the country.
The highest temperature in the country on Thursday was recorded at 41.5 degrees Celsius in Rajshahi while the lowest temperature at 23.5 degrees in Kutubdia.
The highest temperature in the city was recorded at 37.5 degrees Celsius on Thursday and the lowest was 30.7 degrees.
