Light to moderate rain/thunder showers with lightning flashes and temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over Rangpur, Dhaka, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions in the next 24 hours from 06:00 am today (Thursday), according to the Met Office.
It may also occur at a few places over Rajshahi, Khulna, Barishal and Chattogram divisions.
Day temperature may fall slightly and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
Light to moderate heat wave may sweep over Khulna division and the districts of Rajshahi and Pabna.
The highest temperature in the country on Wednesday was recorded at 38.6 degrees Celsius in Khulna, while the lowest temperature at 22.7 degrees in Dimla.
The highest temperature in the city was recorded at 32.9 degrees Celsius on Wednesday and the lowest was 24.0 degrees.
