Welcoming 2015

Saturday, 27 December 2014

We always welcome New Year enthusiastically and hope it will bring in good and positive changes in our personal and national life. That is why everyone takes preparation to celebrate New Year's night with friends and family members.
We see a flurry of musical programmes and cultural shows on the occasion. But there are some people who create nuisance in the city under the influence of alcohol or drugs. In the last few years, we saw the law enforcing agencies taking stern action against those involved in such activities and we could celebrate New Year's night joyously and peacefully.
There are some other people who drive in drunken state during the night and often end up with fatal accidents. Although it is not in our traditional culture, New Year's celebration has of late become a part of our urban life.
We see this time too the law enforcing agencies taking detailed preparation for the New Year's night so that no unwanted incident takes place. I think, every citizen should help them in maintaining peace and discipline.
I sincerely hope, Year 2015 will bring peace and prosperity for our country and wish all fellow citizens a very happy and prosperous year ahead.
