Welding factory worker stabbed dead

A welding factory worker was stabbed to death by some miscreants in the city’s Jatrabari area on Wednesday night. The deceased was identified as Mohammad Akbar Hossain, 20, worker of a local welding factory and a resident of Sutikhalpar in Jatrabari. A gang of 10-12 miscreants, including Riazul and Amran, swooped on Akbar at Sutikhalpar around 8.15pm over previous enmity, said victim’s friends Hridoy and Sujon who brought him to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH). The attackers beat him indiscriminately and at one stage, one of them stabbed him with a knife in his chest. He was rushed to the DMCH around 10.00pm where the on-duty doctor declared him dead. In-charge of DMCH police camp Inspector Mozammel Hossain confirmed the incident, according to UNB.
