A medical college hospital located in a rural area, equipped with latest world-class medical devices, ushered in a ray of new hope in the treatment of deadly cancer in Bangladesh, reports UNB.
Khawja Yunus Ali Medical College and Hospital (KYAMCH), situated on the bank of river Jamuna at Enayetpur in Chouhali Upazila of Sirajganj district, started its formal journey on May 17, 2004 though its foundation stone was laid on December 16, 1995.
The hospital, with a key slogan 'Cancer is curable, if diagnosed early', has a specialised cancer unit with sophisticated equipment that render the best possible services to cancer patients at low cost.
In the treatment of cancer, the KYAMCH claims to have achieved a lot of success - many patients who had given up hope of life despite costly treatment abroad got well after treatment in the hospital's cancer unit.
The 586-bed hospital has full-fledged facilities in Orthopaedic, ENT, Ophthalmology, Paed-iatric, Obstetric & Gynaeco-logy, Urology, Gast-roenterology, Skin & VD, Laboratory & Imaging, Pharmacy and Mortuary.
