Two new vessels built by Western Marine Shipyard Limited have been added in the fleet of BIWTC in the month of Ramadhan for the convenience of home going passengers during the Eid-ul-Fitr vacation. One of them is a 750-passenger ship MV Modhumoti & the other is RoRo Ferry having a carrying capacity of 340 passengers & 27 trucks. Passenger ship Modhumoti & RoRo Ferry Golam Mowla have been inaugurated by Prime Minister Shekh Hasina recently and they already made their maiden voyage in the route of Dhaka to Barisal &  Mawa to Kawrakandi on Thursday. Sources say that addition of these ships in the fleet of BIWTC has been a big relief in transporting passengers during the Eid season.
