Western Marine to hold keel laying ceremony today

Western Marine Shipyard Limited will organize a keel laying ceremony today (March 9, 2011) to start construction of a catamaran type passenger vessel for Chittagong Boat Club.
The keel laying ceremony for this new building will be held in shipyard of the company Patiya, says a press release.
Chief of the Naval staff Vice Admiral Zahir Uddin Ahmed, (ND), ndc, psc, BN will grace the occasion as the Chief Guest. Senior government officials will also attend the programme.
This vessel will be operated by Western Marine Services Ltd in coastal &inland area within the Zone of Karnaphuli River up to Kutubdia. The 30 meter long passenger ship is designed to accommodate 150 passengers.
