But the ships built in our world class shipyard have the certification from Germanischer Lloyd and the National Load Line."
Western Marine Shipyard Ltd is a concern of Western Marine Group, a renowned shipbuilding company of Bangladesh. The company has received order from a European company to supply five container ships. Construction of the 4,100-tonne container ships will be undertaken shortly at its 10-acre shipyard near Shikalbaha Power Plant in Kolagaon Union under Patiya upazila.
A group of skilled marine professionals are working hard since 2000 to make the country's shipbuilding industry at par with international standards.
