Western Union, a money transfer service provider, has launched "No Transfer Fee" Pricing Action for any amount sent to Bangladesh from Italy, the United Kingdom (UK), the United States of America (USA), Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The organisation has introduced the programme as a humanitarian gesture towards cyclone relief efforts of the country, according to a press release.
The programme started on November 27 and will continue until December 31 in the USA. The programme will be valid until December 31 in the UK, Italy, Kuwait, the UAE and Saudi Arabia.
Moreover, the Western Union Foundation, a philanthropic organisation to facilitate charitable programmes worldwide, is donating US$100,000 to UNICEF in its relief response in the areas of water, sanitation and hygiene, nutrition, education, child protection and the provision of non-food items, the release added.
