Wheat output target fixed in Magura

MAGURA, Mar 7 (BSS): A total of 9850 hectares of land have been brought under wheat cultivation with an output target of 26 thousand 5 hundred 64 tonnes in the district in the current season.
District Agriculture Extension Department (AED) source said, 1900 hectares of land in Sadar Upazila, 4,050 hectares of land in Sreepur Upazila, 400 hectares of land in Shalikha Upazila and 2,600 hectares of land in Mohammadpur Upazila have been brought under Wheat cultivation.
AED source said, farmers in four upazilas have already been fulfilled the wheat cultivation target.
Deputy Director of Magura Agriculture Extension Department, Anil Chandra said necessary measures have already been taken to make the cultivation a success and achieve the wheat production target.
Necessary fertiliser and other agricultural inputs were distributed among the farmers accordingly.
