Wheat production falls short of target in Sirajganj

SIRAJGANJ, Nov 27: Wheat production in all the upazilas of the district may fall short of target due to shortage of quality seeds, bad weather and non availability of agricultural loans.
The Agricultural Extension Department (AED) of Sirajganj said AED had taken up a programme of bringing 3,541 hectares of land under wheat cultivation of the district with a production target of 15,441 tones in Sirajganj district. The bad weather this year damaged the wheat plants in different areas of the district.
