Wheat production target fixed at 46.9m tonnes in N-dists

RANGPUR, Dec 24 (BSS): The wheat plants are growing well as the farmers are continuing cultivating the crop with huge enthusiasm everywhere in the country's northern region to achieve the fixed target for the first time in recent years this season, officials said Monday.
The Department of Agriculture Extension (DAE) has fixed a target of producing 469,220 tonnes of wheat from 222,962 hectares during the current Rabi season in the 16 northern districts.
