Wheat slips for third day as export competition may hurt US

SINGAPORE, Jan 27 (Bloomberg): Wheat futures fell for a third day on speculation importers including Egypt will shun shipments from the US, the world's biggest exporter of the grain, in favor of cheaper supplies from nations around the Black Sea.
Wheat for March delivery fell as much as 0.5 per cent to $4.915 a bushel in electronic trading on the Chicago Board of Trade after falling 0.9 per cent Tuesday. The contract was down 0.3 per cent at $4.925 at 11:31 a.m. in Paris.
