Where Shahjalal Airport stands today

The Shahjalal Airport has been included in the list of ten worst airports in Asia and it is no surprise. Whenever I visit the airport, I wonder how it can be termed an international airport.   The Dhaka airport is dirty, ill-maintained and indiscipline is visible almost everywhere.
When foreigners come to our country, at the airport they get the first impression of our country there. But surely they do not get a good impression, when they arrive at the country's premier airport.
Many foreign passengers have complained of dirty toilets, swarming mosquitoes and often rude behaviour of airport staff. The authority  just need to make it cleaner, tidier and ensure discipline.
I hope the government will make sure that the first impression at the airport helps portray Bangladesh as a beautiful country to the foreigners.
