White Paper soon on financial scams

A White Paper on corruption in the financial sector will be published in the middle of the next financial year (FY), Finance Minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith has said. In a closing discussion on the supplementary budget of FY 2013-2014, Muhith said, ‘Scam in the financial sector is a huge shame for us. It’s a matter of great regret for my country. It’s scandalous for the whole nation.’ The finance minister said the White Paper would include directives on ways to deal with such problems. Muhith also regretted not mentioning the plan in his budget speech, according to a news agency.
