Who stops assigning students?
Monday, 21 September 2020
Students are being deprived of classes while opening educational institutions is not a safe option, as policymakers believe. It's also true that all institutions and students cannot afford to join online classes. There are complaints about slow speed of internet and power outage. Amidst all such realities time is running out for many and students are more or less depressed in the absence of opportunities of outdoor activities including study and extracurricular activities.
However, a living being is always engaged in some sort of work, be it sitting or sleeping or even doing bad things. And that's where school and universities should have focused on in terms of self-learning from home. Students could have been provided with unorthodox assignment on stocktaking of life and dreams of students. They could have been asked to write down their thinking and future plans about themselves and the country.
The education ministry could have coordinated a research project engaging educational institutions and assigning thousands of students in collecting data or offering unusual solutions. Thus, students could have attained higher level of skills and knowledge and a lot of confidence that would be useful in the rest of their life.
