Why they\\\'re silent about Israeli atrocities: Hasan Mahmud

Awami League Publicity and Publication Secretary Hasan Mahmud has alleged that BNP and Jamaat-e-Islami are silent about Israeli attacks on Palestinians as they are Israeli lobbyists and benefactors. ‘A large number of people, including women children, are being killed in Gaza by Israel, but I want to know why BNP and Jamaat are still silent?’ he said while addressing a programme in the city on Saturday. The AL leader said, ‘Once I had a doubt about their (BNP-Jamaat’s) relations with Jewish people and now it’s gradually getting more intense as they’re busy appeasing Israel.’ He also observed that reading out a statement on the Gaza attack is not enough for the United Nations to address the situation. Every nation, particularly Islamic states, has to be louder against the killing of innocent people in Gaza, he added, according to UNB.
