Dhaka residents will enjoy Wi-Fi on busy roads during the ICC Twenty20 World Cup. The wireless Internet will be available from March on a three kilometre stretch of road from Jahangir Gate to Banani. Advertising agency ‘Vinyl World’ is behind the project to bring the road under Wi-Fi along with its beautification. People while using the road can use free Internet with 5 mbps speed. “Basically we were assigned for beautification. Later we planned to bring the road under Wi-Fi access,” Abed Mansur, chief executive officer of the advertising agency, told bdnews24.com.Both the projects are being implemented with our own funds, he said.
