Wife files case over city AL leader murder

A case has been filed with Badda thana in the city in connection with killing of local Awami League leader Farhad, reports UNB.
Farhad Hossain (52), general secretary of Badda union Awami League, was gunned down by armed men just after he came out of Baitus Salam-Jam-e- Mosque of North Badda after offering juma prayers on June 15.
Morshida Begum, wife of the victim, filed the case on Tuesday, accusing four people named and several others unnamed, said officer-in-charge (OC) of the thana Kazi Wajed.
Police have already started investigation to arrest the perpetrators soon after the incident occurred, he added.
Two criminals riding a motorcycle came to the spot and opened fire on Farhad and fled the scene leaving him in a pool of blood.
He sustained bullet wounds in his head and chest. He was taken to United Hospital where doctors declared him dead.
