Wife seeks safe return of kidnapped husband

CHITTAGONG, May 18: Nipa Dhar, a housewife, made an appeal Sunday to return her kidnapped husband Palash Dhar safe. She made the appeal at a press conference at Chittagong Press Club. Palash Dhar (38), a jewelry shop owner, was abducted last week by miscreants on his way to Noakhali from Chittagong. His last phone calls from unknown cell phones were received by his wife on May 12 from Noakhali. Since then he had been remaining missing and his cell phone is found switched off. A GD was lodged with the police on May 12. Nipa sought help from the police administration in rescuing the jewelry shop owner and also interference from the Prime Minister and Home Minister. The press conference was organised by Bangladesh Jewelers' Association's Chittagong branch.
