Wilson appointed Chevron Bangladesh MD

Steve Wilson has been appointed managing director of Chevron Bangladesh from June 16.
Prior to the appointment, he held the position of general manager of new opportunities and commercial development in Nigeria's Lagos.
Wilson received his Masters degrees in Chemical Engineering from Cambridge University in 1979 and in Petroleum Engineering from Imperial College in 1985, followed by an MBA from London City University in 1989.
He joined Chevron Corporation in 1985 as a reservoir engineer. He held a number of international technical, operational, commercial and managerial positions throughout his career.
Wilson succeeds Andrew L Fawthrop, who has been relocated as general manager of asset management in Lagos.
The new Chevron Bangladesh chief said, "I am truly impressed with the achievement of Chevron employees in Bangladesh in recent years. The successful completion of a major capital project like Bibiyana, which has delivered outstanding safety standards during a period of great production growth, is a testimony to the dedication and competence of the Bangladeshi workforce".
