Visiting West Indies A team took command over Bangladesh A taking a huge 322-run overall lead on the 2nd day of the first four-day match at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur Tuesday, reports UNB.
Resuming the second day Tuesday with overnight 22 for 1, the hosts, in their first innings, were all out for 125 in 45 overs in reply to the visitors' first innings total of 285 for all.
Bangladesh A batsmen fumbled in the face of fierce bowling by some West Indies bowlers, especially pacer S. Shilingford who grabbed four wickets for 30 runs.
Opener Nazimuddin scored 33 runs, one down Marshal Ayub made 21 and number seven Suhrawardy Shuvo made 23 runs.
Apart from Shilingford's four-wicket haul, OD Brown took two wickets for 24 runs.
Batting for the second time, West Indies A team scored 162 for 2 in 50 overs at stumps on the day.
Opener D Smith scored 62 runs while another opener T Dowlin made 32.
K Edward and D Bravo were batting on 55 and 10 runs as the bails were drawn for the day.
Suhrawardy Shuvo captured two wickets for 63 runs.
