'Window Berthing' system introduced at Ctg port

CHITTAGONG, Aug 6: The long-awaited 'Window Berthing' system at the seaport was introduced Monday. Chairman of the Port Authority Commodore M Faruq inaugurated the new berthing system at noon with unloading containers from a ship, 'Markera Bridge', a Singapore flag carrier. Speaking on the occasion, the port chairman said people from now on would be able to know the time of arrival and departure of any ship like the airlines services. —UNB
