Withdraw blockade, hold talks

FE Report | Thursday, 29 January 2015

Krishak Sramik Janata League founder president Bangabir Kader Siddiqui Bir Uttam urged BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia on Wednesday to withdraw non-stop blockade and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to hold dialogue with all political parties immediately.
He made the call while addressing the party activists prior to observing a sit-in programme in front of his party office in the city with the demand to withdraw blockade and hold dialogue to save the country from the present political impasse.
Mr Siddiqui said the country does not belong to the Prime Minister. She may even have to sit with a low-caste Hindu for the sake of the welfare of the state.
Addressing Khaleda Zia, he said all the mothers are similarly shocked at the deaths of those who died during the blockade as you who are shocked at the death of Arafat Rahman Koko.
He called upon Khaleda Zia to withdraw blockade and take up new programmes through discussion with other parties. Mr Siddiqui also announced to continue his sit-in programme until the two female leaders sit for a dialogue.
