Withdraw military officers from RAB: BNP

Wednesday, 21 May 2014

The BNP has demanded withdrawal of military officers from the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB), reports bdnews24.com.
"There's a conspiracy going on to taint the army's image by using RAB for political purposes," the party's vice-president Sadeque Hossain Khoka told a discussion in the city Tuesday.
He said the army's image has been tarnished due to the allegations against two ex-military officers and one ex-navy officer of being involved in the Narayanganj multiple murders.
"In this situation it's imperative to stop the RAB from inducting military officers immediately. The army should withdraw its officers from RAB in order to preserve their good image," he said.
