Withdrawal of 411 more 'political cases' advised

The government has decided to withdraw 411 more 'politically motivated' cases.
An official spokesman said the decision was taken Tuesday at the 12th meeting of the inter-ministerial committee formed to deal with such cases filed with ill intentions of "political harassment," reports UNB.
A total of 869 cases, including 824 under the penal code and 45 under the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC), were placed at the meeting.
The package does not contain any cases filed against BNP-Jamaat leaders and activists.
