WMO secy meets defence secy

Visiting Secretary General of World Meteorological Organisation (WMO) M Jarraud paid a courtesy call on Defence Secretary Kamrul Hasan at the Ministry of Defence in the city Monday, reports UNB.
M Jarraud remained with the Defence Secretary for some time and discussed matters of capacity building of Bangladesh in disaster management activities due to climate change of the world, said an ISPR release.
Joint Secretary (W&D) of the Ministry Brigadier General Shah M Sultan Uddin Iqbal, Bir Protik was also present on the occasion.
Later, WMO Secretary General visited Bangladesh Meteorological Department at Sher-e-Banglanagar.
M Jarraud arrived Dhaka on a three-day visit to Bangladesh Sunday.
