Woman awarded life term for killing husband

BAGERHAT, Apr 22 (UNB): A court here Thursday convicted a woman and sentenced her to life term imprisonment in absentia for killing her husband in 2008.
The convict, Majeda Begum (30), is the wife of Abdul Goni of Bhaijora village in Morelganj Upazila.
The court also fined her Tk 5,000, in default, to suffer one year RI more.
According to the prosecution, Majeda picked up a quarrel with her husband Abdul Goni over a trifling matter on February 26, 2008.
