Woman burnt alive in Rangamati

RANGAMATI, Aug 6 (BSS): A woman was burnt alive and her daughter critically injured when a fire broke out in their house at Bhedbhedi Muslim Para in Rangamati town Tuesday.
The victim was identified as Rahima Begum, 60, wife of Hasan Mistri of the same area.
Fire service sources said the fire might have been originated from the chemical materials, stored in the house, used as raw materials to produce candles.
Fire fighters from Rangamati rushed to the spot and rescued Popy Akther, 13, with severe burn injuries. Popy was admitted to Rangamati General Hospital for treatment.
