Woman chopped to death

BARISAL, Aug 25 (UNB): An old woman was chopped to death and her grandson injured by unknown miscreants at Andharmanik village of Mehendiganj Upazila early Friday.
The deceased was identified as Kala Banu (80), while the injured as Dulal (30).
Family sources said a group of armed terrorists entered the house of Kala Banu searching for her grandson Dulal.
They hacked Dulal at first and also hit his grandmother Kala Banu with sharp weapon when she tried to save her grandson.
Kala Banu died on the spot while Dulal ran away from the house and saved his life. Reason behind the killing could not be known immediately.
