Woman dies from snakebite in Rajshahi

A woman died after receiving a snake bite in Godagari upazila in Rajshahi district on Wednesday afternoon. The deceased was identified as Sarida Begum, 40, wife of Ruhul Amin, a resident of Farhadpur village. Family members said a venomous snake bit Sarida when she was working in the kitchen in the afternoon. She was rescued and rushed to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital where the on-duty doctor declared her dead, according to a news agency.
