Woman dies in city road accident

A woman died Sunday after she was run over by a passenger bus in the city's Jatrabari area.
The victim was identified as Gurmati Guria, 50, a sweeper of Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC), Jatrabari Police Station officer-in-charge (OC) Anisur Rahman told the FE.
Local people took critically injured Gurmati to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) following the incident, he said. The attending doctors declared her dead at around 7.30am.
The accident took place in front of Islamia General Hospital at Sydabad Janapath intersection, where another DSCC sweeper Monoara suffered injuries in the same incident. She was also admitted to the hospital for treatment.
