Woman dies under falling tree as tornado wreaks havoc in Sherpur

SHERPUR, May 23 (UNB): A 65-year-old woman was killed after a tree fell on her house during a sudden tornado that swept through Nalitabari upazila of Sherpur district on Saturday morning, causing widespread damage to houses and trees in several villages.
The deceased was identified as Begum Bibi of Nonni Paschimpara village. The incident occurred around 8:45 am.
According to local residents and administration sources, stormy weather accompanied by rain and thunder had been prevailing across different parts of Sherpur since Saturday morning.
