Woman entrepreneur gets IDB award

NARSINGDI, Jun 28 (BSS): Selina Jahan, a woman farmer- cum entrepreneur of the district, has received Islamic Development Bank (IDB) prize in recognition of her outstanding contribution in the field of agriculture.
Selina Jahan received the prize, carrying US$ 25,000 and a certificate, from King Abdul Aziz of Saudi Arabia and Dr.Ahmad Mohamed Ali, president of IDB group at a function held on the occasion of the 39th annual meeting of IDB Board of Governors in Jeddah on Wednesday.
She was chosen for the prize under the individual category of the IDB in acknowledging her achievement in diversifying and increasing food production by promoting back to nature farming.
