Woman entrepreneurs to get priority: Amu

Industries Minister Amir Hossain Amu on Saturday said woman entrepreneurs will get more than 30 per cent allocation in the industrial and economic zones on priority basis. “It’s a matter of great pride for us as a nation that our woman entrepreneurs are being recognised by the international community for their achievements,” he said. The minister was speaking at an award giving ceremony titled ‘BWCCI Progressive Award 2013’ at Multipurpose Hall in Diploma Engineer’s Institute in the city. Bangladesh Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BWCCI) organised the event in cooperation with Green Delta Insurance Company Limited and IFAD Group. The minister also said he and his ministry will provide all kinds of support to the women entrepreneurs who want to set up industries and diversified businesses, according to a news agency.
