Woman found dead in Chandpur

CHANDPUR, July 24 (UNB): Police recovered the body of an unidentified young woman from Kuchirbeel at Betiapara village in Hajiganj upazila on Wednesday afternoon.
Police said locals spotted the floating body of the woman, aged around 25, in the water body in the afternoon and informed police.
Later, police recovered the body and sent it to hospital morgue for an autopsy.
Shah Alam, officer-in-charge of Hajiganj Police Station, said the body bore several marks of injuries.
Police suspected that miscreants killed the woman after rape sometime on Tuesday night and dumped the body there. A case was filed in this connection.
