Woman killed after rape in Chandpur

Miscreants killed a woman after rape and dumped the body into a beel (tater body) in Chandpur at some time between Tuesday night and early Wednesday. Police recovered the body of the unidentified woman from Kuchirbeel at Betiapara village in Hajiganj upazila on Wednesday afternoon. Police said locals spotted the floating body of the young woman, aged around 25, in the water body and informed them. Later, police recovered the body and sent it to a local hospital for autopsy. Police said the body bore several marks of injuries. Police suspected that miscreants killed the woman after rape sometime on Tuesday night and early Wednesday dumped the body there, according to UNB.
