Woman killed as her sari gets stuck in water pump

A woman was killed as her sari got entangled in a shallow water pump at Sarsa Upazila in Jessore district on Friday. The deceased was identified as Halima Khatun, 40, a female peasant and wife of late Abdus Sobhan of Rajnagar village. Witnesses said Halima died on the spot when her sari got entangled in a shallow water pump as she rose after taking meal beside the crop field where she was working in the morning, according to UNB.
