Woman killed in city road accident

A woman was killed and a traffic police constable wounded as a passenger bus ran over them in city's Airport intersection Friday afternoon. The deceased was identified as Taslima Khatun (30), daughter of one Taher Uddin of Nachoil under Chapainawabganj district while the injured cop is Mohammad Ali (42). "Taslima died on the spot and the traffic constable received serious injuries as a bus of Suprobhat Paribahan hit them while crossing the road at about 5.20 pm," Sub-Inspector of Airport police station Mamun-ur Rashid said.The police constable was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital in a critical condition, he added. — BSS
