Woman killed in Tangail crash

A woman was killed and her husband injured in a road accident in Mirzapur upazila in Tangail district on Sunday afternoon. The deceased was Marjia Begum, 32, wife of Mizanur Rahman, a resident of Salanga area under Kaliakoir upazila of Gazipur district. Officer-in-Charge of Gorai Highway police Humayan Kabir said the accident occurred 4pm when a bus hit a motorcycle from behind, leaving motorcycle co-rider Marjia dead on the spot and her husband Mizanur injured in Suvolla area on the Dhaka-Tangail highway. Mizanur was sent to Mirzapur Kumudini Hospital, according to BSS.
