Woman, mother-in-law die from snake bite in Kushtia

KUSHTIA, Sept 13 (UNB): A newly-wed woman and her mother-in-law died on Tuesday morning after being bitten by a snake.
The dead are Kamru-nnahar (17) and her mother-in-law Zainab Begum (48), residents of Mamudanipur village in Jayanti Hazra union of Khoksha upazila.
Saqib Khan Tipu, chairman of Jayanti Hazra Union Parishad, said Zainab and Kamrunnahar were bitten by a snake around 2:30 am while they were asleep in their house.
Later, they were taken to Upazila Health Complex around 6:30 am and then shifted to Kushtia General Hospital where doctors declared them dead, he said.
