Woman police hurt in Khulna fire

A woman police constable received burn injuries in a fire incident at police quarters in Fultala upazila on Saturday. The injured was identified as Razia Sultana, a constable of Fultala Police Station and wife of assistant sub-inspector Sumon Ahmed of the same PS. Witnesses said the fire originated from a mosquito coil in her room and soon spread to her cloths and bed around 4 am, leaving Razia seriously injured. She was rushed to Khulna Medical College Hospital and then shifted to the burn unit of Dhaka Medical College Hospital by a helicopter as her condition deteriorated. Illias Fakir, officer-in-charge of Fultala Police Station, confirmed the incident, according to UNB.
