Woman robbed of Tk0.40m in Sylhet

Muggers looted Tk 0.40 million from a woman at Shibbari in Dakkhin Surma upazila of Sylhet district on Thursday. Sources said Rozina Begum, wife of Abul Kashem of Kandebpur village in Moglabazar area, withdrew Tk0.40 million from Dakkhin Surma branch of Islami Bank around 2.00pm. A band of muggers, numbering 4/5, riding two motorcycles intercepted the CNG-run auto-rickshaw carrying Rozina and snatched away a bag containing Tk0.40 million from her possession. Shafiqul Islam, officer-in-charge of Moglabazar Police Station, said police are trying to arrest the muggers, according to a news agency.
