Women's football team reach Kathmandu safely

Bangladesh U-16 Women's Football team reached Kathmandu Wednesday noon to compete in the four- nation SAFF U-16 Women's Football Championship' 2024 to be held in Lalitpur, near Kathmandu, from March 1-10, reports UNB.
Bangladesh women's team left Dhaka Wednesday morning at 10:15 am and reached the Nepalese capital Kathmandu at 12 noon in their another champions mission after the emerging the joints champions with India in the SAFF U-19 Women's Championship held in Dhaka early this month.
All the players and team members of Bangladesh are in sound health and the Bangladesh team will make their first session today afternoon at 4:30 pm, said a BFF release Wednesday.
In the four- nation regional meet, Bangladesh will start their campaign taking on hosts Nepal on Saturday (March 2) at 3 pm local time at the Chyasal Stadium in Lalitpur while India will play Bhutan in the tournament opener tomorrow (Friday) also at 3: pm at the same venue.
In the single league basis matches, Bangladesh will play their giant rivals India on March 05 and will meet Bhutan on March 8 in their remaining matches at the same time and same venue.
