Wednesday, 12 December 2018

Chief Election Commissioner KM Nurul Huda on Tuesday asked the judicial magistrates, who will be deployed during the upcoming parliamentary polls, to carry out their duties neutrally, reports UNB.
"With you [magistrates] on the ground, we're optimistic that the election atmosphere will be nice...the heat of the election is spreading. So, we must not let anything disrupt the atmosphere," he said.
The CEC was addressing a meeting with the magistrates at Nirbachan Bhaban in the city.
Nurul Huda further said, "Our main duty will be on December 30. We've to ensure fair balloting and that everyone follows the electoral code of conduct. We have to create an environment that will allow people to go back home safely after casting their votes."
